Cambodia Visas
The visa can be obtained upon entry to Cambodia at Siem Reap and Phom Penh airports and at many overland crossing points. You may obtain visas from the Cambodian embassy in Bangkok if you have 2 days to spare. Tourist visas cost $20 and are valid for one month . Tourist visas can be renewed once for an additional 30days only and are single entry. Visas for Malaysian, Singaporean & Philippino citizens are not required.
E-visas are now available online for $25 and reduce queuing time, though they are not yet available for other land crossings >www.evisa.mfaic.gov.kh

Flights to Cambodia

Bangkok is the regional hub. www.airasia.com and www.jetstarasiacom are now operating from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok at a discount price. Also, www.evaair.com flies to Phnom Penh from most major cities.

Overland to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh
BUS: Now that the road has improved the buses have now become a cheaper, more reliable and faster option. Buses take around 5-6 hours and cost between $5–$10. We recommend the Mekong Express ($12); Departure 7.30 a.m. / 8.30a.m. Arrive in Siem Reap around 1.15 p.m. / 2.15 p.m.  We can arrange a pick up from the Bus station should you desire.
TAXI:
$50+ for a private car (Toyota Camry) journey which takes 4-5 hours (seats 3 plus driver comfortably) and can be arranged by your hotel in Phnom Penh.
BOAT:
The fast ferries from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap run in around 6 – 8 hours. Boats are running daily but due competition by the buses, there are less of them. In the dry season, especially late Feb. to August, the water levels on the Tonle Sap lake are lower making boat travel slower and less reliable
Fast boats:  Royal, Channa, Rambo, Boats cost $35. Departure: 7.00 a.m.

Upon exit from Cambodia immigration, tourist are directed to a free tourist bus which takes you to a new bus station and taxi stand. It is not compulsory to use this if you have arranged a taxi from us ---  wait at the exit from immigration and your driver will pick you up. The fixed taxi fare has risen to $50 for private car to Siem Reap. Buses at the station will cost $10 but may take up to 5 hours to reach Siem Reap.
